Olimpia
Olimpia is an ancient city located in Elis (a district to Greece of the south on the peninsula of the Peloponeso, geographically this is 311 kilometers to aloeste of Athens, 90 kilometers on South of Patras and 21 kilometers to Aleste de Pyrgos.
He is a famous person of having been the place of the Olympic Games in classic, comparable times in the importance to the Games Pythian one of four Games Panhellenic of Greece Antigua supported in Delphi. Both games were supported every four years with the interruption for almost 1,200 years. Only in the IVth century they were they finally suppressed by the Christian emperor of Rome Theodosius.
